Chancery House is nestled in what was the original High Street, now a sleepy lane of residential cottages in seaside colours.
Less than a minute's walk from a beautiful green flanked by Georgian houses and two fabulous gastro pubs. We encourage guests to take time to explore the alleyways and cottages once used by pirates and fisherman as you weave your way to the quay side an 8minute walk from the house. From here you can head to the beach or enjoy what we believe to be the best fish and chips and ice cream along the coast as you watch the tide turn and the fishermen return with their catch. Wander home via Staithe Street where you will find all you need for a wholesome dinner of local produce or a holiday gift to take home.
At the centre of this stretch of heritage coastline, Chancery House offers a great base to explore from and the most relaxing place to return to at the end of your day of adventuring. Enjoy a long weekend stay with no need to get in your car for adventures!

Great in all weathers, park at the far end of the car park and head in to Wells woods behind the beach to build a camp and picnic and then find the rope swing which hangs over a huge sand bank.
However if you are looking for other things to keep your little and not so little people busy take a look at the list below:
